AtomCombat requires a valid `license.key` in `config.yml`, and the licensing service must be reachable from your server. See [First Setup](/atomcombat/getting-started/first-setup.md). ## Knockback still feels vanilla / feels wrong Make sure PacketEvents is installed and enabled — Combat Core's custom knockback profiles require it. Check `knockback.profile` in `modules/combat-core.yml`, and any `knockback.worlds`/`knockback.regions` overrides that might be selecting a different profile than you expect for that location. ## Bounties aren't being paid in the currency I expect Check `rewards.provider` in `modules/bounties.yml`. `auto` prefers Vault; explicitly set `vault`, `pulseprison`, `items` or `commands` if you want a specific provider, and make sure the matching plugin (Vault, PulsePrison) is installed and enabled. Check `/atomcombat debug` for detection status. ## Messages are in the wrong language / I edited a message and it didn't change Confirm `language:` in `config.yml` points at the file you edited, and run `/atomcombat reload` (or restart) after editing any `languages/*.yml` file — changes aren't picked up live without a reload. ## A rank can't use an ability even though I gave the permission Rank abilities can also require a minimum PulsePrison prestige/rebirth (`pulseprison.min-prestige` / `min-rebirth` in `modules/rank-abilities.yml`). If those are non-zero and PulsePrison is installed, both the permission **and** the prestige/rebirth requirement must be satisfied. ## How do I move from YAML to SQLite/MySQL without losing data? AtomCombat doesn't migrate data between backends automatically. Switching `storage.type` starts that module reading and writing through the new backend with a fresh, empty dataset. If you need to carry data over, that's a manual export/import outside the plugin's current scope. ## Where do I get a license key? Through the Aeros Discord bot, with `/license claim`. See [First Setup](/atomcombat/getting-started/first-setup.md). ## Does AtomCombat work without PulsePrison? Yes.
